“OMD supports the students financially and motivates them to succeed in school, in work, and in life. . . that’s exactly what every student needs to be successful.”
As a student, Ahmad struggled with organization and time management. Juggling his studies, work, and homelife was a difficult balancing act; he didn’t always have the time he wanted to devote himself to each. He joined OMD as a scholar because he recognized that the program would help him not only in his schoolwork, but also with his career and life in general – exactly the support he knew he needed to succeed.
As an OMD scholar at Wilbur Wright College, Ahmad flourished, earning 4.0 GPAs and being admitted to the Honors Society, Phi Theta Kappa. He built a close relationship with his coach, who “helped [him] build [his] resume and become more professional in the workplace.” With help from his coach and skills he built from development sessions, Ahmad applied to and was accepted to the prestigious internship program at Accenture, where he is working this summer: “I would not have gotten this opportunity with Accenture without OMD support.”
Eventually, Ahmad hopes to transfer to a four-year university and complete his bachelor’s degree. His long-term goal is to be an integral part of a company where he can “continue to learn, take on additional responsibilities, and contribute as much value as I can.” To anyone joining OMD, Ahmad says: “Your life is about to change.”
